What's New with the Mordorskis?

Life has been a little crazy at our house as we adjust to being a family of four!  Owen has been fantastic with Hattie - he just loves her to pieces.  He used to run in the door and yell, "Mom!"  Now he comes storming through the door yelling, "Mom, where is Hattie?"  He's doing really well at school and loves his teachers, Miss Carla, Miss Colleen and Miss Megan.  He used to write his name, but suddenly, he has just flourished and is writing Hattie, sister, baby, Mom, Dad, stop, help, play, dog.....wow!  Another thing that I love watching him do is learn new prayers like the Our Father and also how quickly he learned the pledge of allegiance.

He has started having some tantrums and that phase could be done any time and we'd be find with it!  Grrr.  It's so frustrating to see him go from a sweet, caring little boy to this crabby, naughty little boy who tells us we are mean parents.

Hattie is doing well.  Overall, she's a really good baby.  She has her moments (er, hours) in the evening that she is very fussy, but most days, she's very good.  She's wearing a size 3 month now and eats 3 ounces about every 3 hours.  Last night, she ate at 10PM and then was up to eat at about 4AM.  That's not typical yet, but we'll take it!

Here are a few pictures of Miss Hattie getting a bath.

All wrapped up in a cute little towel from Owen's former daycare provider, Heidi
On Sunday, we gave her a bath and for the first time, she didn't scream throughout the whole bath!  She does NOT like to be cold, so baths, being changed, etc., are not fun for her.
This picture is from the first bath we gave her at home.  Notice the little hands on the counter, just waiting until he can help.
