Owen, Paul and I are Marching for Babies on April 28. I never knew what March of Dimes was until I had to give birth to Owen at 29 weeks via emergency C-section. One of the scariest parts of Owen's early arrival was when a neonatologist came into our room to tell us that our baby may very well be deaf, blind, have cerbral palsy and could even die because he was coming too early and his body wasn't prepared to live outside of me. We were blessed that Owen had none of these things! Thankfully, all of the research that March of Dimes has done allowed the St. Paul Children's NICU to care for Owen and send us home with a healthy baby. Not everyone is that lucky though. The team we are on for the March for Babies is called Go Lily. Lily is the angel baby of some friends of ours. She was born at 27 weeks on December 8 and lived until December 25. They have made it their mission to raise funding for the March of Dimes so that no other family has to go through what they did.
If you are able to, please click on the link below and help us raise money so that all families can be as lucky as we were, and get to bring their babies home!
